Each project is unique and because we at Lintel provide a full turnkey service, including design consultation, layout drawings, application process, labour provision, and build, it means each project we undertake will be as individual as our clients. That is why we always start with a face-to-face consultation so that Tristan can give you a realistic time and price scale so that you feel fully prepared, helping to avoid any nasty or expensive surprises later.
It depends. There are a lot of moving parts with any design and build project. There are a few key things to consider while your project in ongoing. Firstly, building and reconstruction will always be noisy and dusty – there’s just no escaping that. If you work from home, have children, or suffer from breathing problems or health issues, then it might be a better and safer option to find alternative accommodation for the duration of the building stage, if possible. Secondly, it’s best to be honest about the level of patience you’re working with – designing, planning, and building a renovation, extension, or reconstruction project can require a lot of it. The Lintel guarantee is that we walk you through all of this in our face-to face consultations from day one so that you are equipped with a realistic and transparent idea of what it will take to make your home project vision a reality.
Design, planning, and building home projects often come with unexpected situations that can cause the budget to increase and the timeframe to lengthen.
